Description

Sweet and crunchy, perfect end (or beginning!) to any meal.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. Brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. Corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/3 c. Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 2 tbsp. Dark rum
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 c. Pecans
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 store bought pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°
  2. Spread your pecans in a single layer on a cookie sheet and toast in the oven for 7-8 minutes. Do not burn your pecans!
  3. When your pecans are done, set aside to cool and increase the oven temperature to 375°
  4. Whisk together all ingredients except the pecans and pie crust
  5. Lay your pie crust in a standard pie dish and prick the crust with a fork. Add your pecans
  6. Pour your wet ingredients over the pecans.
  7. Bake at 375 for 35-45 minutes until set and not jiggly.
