A Fun and Flirty Valentine’s Day Cocktail

- 6 oz package of raspberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- lemon zest
- 1 tbsp Cointreau
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients but the Cointreau in a sauce pan and bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
- Let simmer about 5 minutes until the raspberries break down and and the syrup starts to thicken.
- Strain and let cool. Once room temperature add the Cointreau and pour into your ice cube trays.
- Freeze until firm, at least over night
- Add 2-3 cubes to your glass and top with your favorite sparkling rose or sparkling wine. Garnish with a raspberry.
Notes
Make it a mocktail: leave out the cointreau and use your favorite sparkling water.
